Dear Friend of Centralia,
I am grateful to be from our small community and have personally seen how generous our residents have often been. This is a community of people who have made good things happen and there is much more to do.
Our mission from the start has been to provide dedicated leadership, fundraising, and a commitment to creating positive change in Centralia and the region. We partner with donors, granting agencies, and private industry to support educational enhancements and career pathways opportunities. We believe this is a great way to improve the quality of life for our citizens and provide future opportunities.
Our work with the educational system, the college, regional partners, and businesses has clearly shown the challenges and barriers with expanding pathways and training. Areas that require more support and effort are:
- recruiting students and well-trained workers
- implementing relevant and timely training programs
- establishing apprenticeship programs
We have identified some solutions that will help remove these challenges and barriers. Our board of directors is qualified and poised for the work ahead. We all live here and are determined to make it a better place to call home. We welcome your support and participation. It is hard work, rewarding work, and essential work that has to be accomplished for our region to grow and flourish.
